'accordion trad folk

Scotland’s Andrew Waite is an acclaimed accordion powerhouse and composer widely recognized across the global folk circuit.

A finalist for the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year and a multi-award nominee at the Scots Trad Music Awards, Andrew co-founded the band TYDE and is a key member of international folk heavyweights Dallahan, Fourth Moon, and Eliza Carthy's Wayward Band (whose debut album hit #25 in the UK charts).

His playing is deeply rooted in Scottish, Irish, and English traditional music, but fearlessly draws brilliant influences from jazz, funk, bluegrass, and classical music.

From playing the Royal Albert Hall at just 13 years old to sharing stages with legends like Sting and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Andrew's virtuosic, high-energy sets are an absolute masterclass in modern trad.
