Evie Fehilly is an award-winning writer, director, performer, drag king, sex educator, and clown whose work gleefully dances on the edge of the taboo. Trained at L’École Gaulier in Paris, Evie brings a rare blend of playfulness, and profound emotional depth to exploring human vulnerability, grief, and resilience. Whether subverting cultural expectations around pain and trauma through cabaret or creating brave subversive spaces for deep dialogue, Evie’s work is a vibrant celebration of our messy, beautiful humanity.

Evie will be bringing a very special clowning workshop to The Sondering on Saturday . Clown is a way of being. no balloon animals and big shoes required but presence. It is you at your most playful, vulnerable, and responsive.

It’s not about trying to be funny, though that is often the result - but about being honest: in your body, in the moment, and with others.

This workshop uses exercises drawn from clowning, theatre and improvisation, to help people to play, find freedom, to help people to open up — to each other and to themselves, replacing fear of mistakes with an ability to embrace them.
