ARTIST PERFORMER MAKER

Hannah Fox, artist and performer, will be bringing a curious character to The Sondering to welcome and help guide us into our weekend gathering.

Hannah has been creating public work in, with and for communities, gatherings and celebratory settings for nearly 40 years! She is Artistic Director of Company Fox, a vibrant collective of artists, musicians, performers, and technicians that creates distinctive, playful, and striking events, performances, parades, installations, and environments both indoors and out.

Hannah’s parents John Fox and Sue Gill ran the celebrated arts company Welfare State Interntaional (WSI) and Hannah grew up living in caravans and performing internationally "on the road." Following her graduation with a Fine Art degree from the Glasgow School of Art, she spent five years in Amsterdam as a core company member of DOGTROEP - the radical Dutch theatre arts collective -making and performing large, site-specific shows internationally. Today, she channels that rich background of nomadic performance, artistic collaboration and care for community and humanity into her own unique work. We are honoured to welcome Hannah to The Sondering.
