a cappella and vocal workshops
Based in the North of England, Mouthful is a phenomenal four-piece a cappella vocal quartet that completely redefines the boundaries of the human voice.
Comprising Bex Mather, Dave Camlin, Katherine Zeserson, and Sharon Durant, the group uses the voice as an expertly played, finely tuned instrument to create highly innovative, sophisticated, and playful vocal arrangements. Refracting a dizzying array of genres through the prism of “The Mouthful Way,” their accessible yet boundary-pushing repertoire seamlessly blends gospel, funk, and jazz with global folk traditions like Georgian singing and Scandinavian "yoiking."
Equally at home performing on the stages of the Sage Gateshead, Glastonbury Festival, and the British Museum as they are leading wild singing workshops up a Lake District mountain, Mouthful delivers an immersive, groove-based, and exquisitely harmonious live experience that leaves audiences completely spellbound. Performances and workshops across the weekend, including a special ritualised session in Rydal Cave.
