shkiesha’s work exists at the threshold between ritual and performance, weaving cosmology, mysticism, scientific language, spiritual symbols, and lived experience into a kind of sacred theatre. Using dance, poetry, music and lights as invocation and anatomy: each word, sound, or gesture carries a symbolic weight, charged with communicating the metaphysical through the mundane.

For The Sondering 2026, shkiesha will be designing the lighting of The Threshold stage, as well as performing her own short movement piece expressing the complexity of grief and loss.
